Educational work with young people - “I am a consumer ambassador!” © Birgit Wilde “I am a consumer ambassador!” Nothing beats your own experiences: Through interactive group work and a wide variety of methods, students learn to reflect on their own shopping behavior. The objective: As (self-)critical consumer ambassadors, they also pass on this attitude to their classmates. In contrast to one-off workshops, this educational project allows students to deepen their knowledge of the global apparel industry in the longer term. Practical units are also on the program: By upcycling their old garments, they get to know consumer alternatives creatively. At the end, a concrete school project is created so that the consumer ambassadors can also inspire subsequent school generations for the topic. In 2017, FEMNET received the award for the educational project ‘I am a consumer ambassador’. Women's Empowerment Award. Securing opportunities“ of the Soroptimist International Club Bonn.
