Educational work with young people Educational opportunities for young people: We bring human rights into fashion! Fashion is an expression of individuality, group affiliation and lifestyle. It's fun and emphasizes your personality. Young people in particular attach great importance to this. With our educational work, we show that fair fashion and conscious consumption are also ways to fulfill these wishes - in harmony with people and the environment. Our educational modules for your subject area Use our educational modules for the design of lessons, project weeks or group lessons. Our speakers are professionally and didactically trained experts for all questions relating to human rights and the mechanisms of the global apparel industry. We come to you too! Book a speaker According to surveys, young people spend most of their pocket money on fashion and accessories. Fashion companies are doing everything they can to retain them as the consumers of tomorrow. Fast fashion is especially tempting for the younger ones. Always new trends for comparatively ‘small’ money. What the companies do not show is that the ever-faster changing collections and falling prices are at the expense of workers and the environment in the producing countries. But in the meantime, young people are questioning the actions of companies. They want a world in which human rights and environmental protection play a role. Fashion brands address these needs - some credibly, others more through eyewiping. We offer schools and extracurricular youth groups exciting teaching modules in the form of workshops, lectures and other formats that educate about the interrelationships of the global apparel industry and what you can do yourself for sustainable consumption. Projects lasting several months with working groups of students dealing specifically with topics of sustainability and global justice are also possible. Our goals We teach young people and teachers which alternatives to fast fashion exist, how to distinguish false promises from honest offers and how to take action for a fashion industry in harmony with people and the environment. This is what we want to achieve: Young people understand the connections that drive human rights and environmental protection into a downward spiral in global clothing production. Young people possess competences and awareness of their possibilities of action as consumers. Young people perceive themselves as active citizens, formulate demands on politics and try out methods of social influence. Workshops with trained speakers for your lessons/group lesson Our modules teach young people from the age of 13 clearly what is behind our fashion. Implementation is possible with school classes, working groups and extracurricular groups, such as scouts or church groups. We will be happy to advise you on the choice of topics.
