The Fair Wear Works project expands its educational offer with a new web seminar series, which is specially designed for actors in the sports and healthcare sector. The series aims to raise awareness of the importance of sustainable textile purchases as an integral part of a comprehensive sustainability strategy. The interactive web seminars not only offer insights from experts on various textile purchasing topics, but also promote the exchange of experience between the participants. A total of four web seminars are planned for 2024, four web seminars for 2025 and two web seminars for 2026. The contents of the web seminars will be prepared as "learning snacks" after their implementation and will be available on the project websites of FEMNET e.V. and the Global Nature Fund as well as YouTube. Sustainable innovations at a glance: Fair Wear Works invites you to the first web seminar The first web seminar, "Heat-resistant textiles - materials for a more sustainable tomorrow", will take place on 16.04.2024 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. The Zoom registration link It is now open. The web seminar focuses on the importance of heat-resistant textiles in the face of advancing climate change. Health care facilities and sports clubs can not only reduce greenhouse gas emissions through sustainable textile purchases, but also protect their members with breathable and temperature-balancing materials. The web seminar sheds light on the advantages and disadvantages of selected new fibers. Bettina Faust, an expert on sustainable textiles from the Global Nature Fund, will talk about properties, care instructions and critical aspects.
