© rawpixel Fair4Ju: Sustainable textile procurement in youth education centres Fair4Ju is committed to eco-fair textile procurement in youth education centres (JBS) in North Rhine-Westphalia. Both the sponsoring associations of the facilities and adolescents and young adults are addressed. The aim is to change procurement practices and promote sustainable consumption decisions. Description Youth education centres (JBS) in North Rhine-Westphalia are large buyers of textiles. For many of these institutions, there are often no fixed requirements for eco-fair procurement by their respective sponsors. Fair4Ju wants to start right here and sensitize a broad mass of these institutions to sustainable procurement. Comprehensive information as well as consulting and training offers are provided. At the same time, Fair4Ju is aimed at adolescents and young people. Through workshops in the youth education centres and various activities on social media, they are to be sensitised to the effects of their consumption decisions. The workshops provide information on the production of textiles, fair alternatives, the complexity of global supply chains and the impact of fair textile procurement. In order to structurally anchor sustainable procurement, networking with the sponsoring associations of the hospitals is an important component. They are supported in examining their options for action and firmly anchoring the topic of eco-fair procurement. .
