Equality Now - The world must become more feminine!

International Women's Day calls for more speed in women's equality. A three-part FEMNET video series briefly explains what we achieve with feminist perspectives and our focus on feminist development cooperation.

Our understanding of feminism at a glance

For us at FEMNET, feminism stands for the change of unequal power relations. Women*, girls and marginalised groups should have the same access to education, health care, political decision-making and economic resources as men.

What exactly does feminist development policy mean?

It is important to recognise that the disadvantage of women worldwide is caused by complex social and economic factors. A feminist approach to development currently pursued by Policy and Development Minister Svenja Schulze is an important step towards achieving sustainable social justice for all genders and across all borders.

Practical examples

Examples from our project work show how a feminist development policy works in practice and what it can achieve.
