Karlsruhe procures fair – accompanied by FEMNET

How can we ensure that taxpayers' money does not buy products that have been produced under inhumane conditions? As a best practice example, the city of Karlsruhe is presented here. When purchasing service and protective clothing, criteria of fair trade and environmental compatibility were observed. If there were enough products on the market for which it could be demonstrated that the companies operated a sustainable supply chain management, this was also required as an exclusion criterion. There were no compromises! This video accompanies the process and encourages other municipalities to set off as well.
