The global clothing industry is booming! Since 2000, it has more than doubled. Around one hundred billion garments are produced each year, most of them in China, Bangladesh and India. A relatively new production site is Myanmar. Since the end of the military dictatorship, the country has experienced rapid economic growth. Especially in the textile industry.
