Recherchetool für Materialien Needs analysis on childcare facilities in the clothing industry in Bangalore The care of small children in Indian textile factories is desolate. The Bonn women's rights association FEMNET and the Indian partner CIVIDEP have found out. The study shows: None of the four factories examined, which supply H&M and C&A, among others, provide adequate child-friendly care, although this is required by law in India. The staff is not pedagogically trained, the children spend their days in bare rooms without employment and play facilities. Many women have no confidence in the existing cribs and leave the children to the grandparents in the village or the older siblings. If this is not possible, the children will stay home alone.
