Standing on the spot. - Labour rights violations in the Indian leather and footwear industry

Wages far below livelihood levels, serious shortcomings in health and safety, and discrimination and exploitation based on traditional gender and caste standards - working conditions in Indian footwear and leather production are catastrophic. This is proven by the new study of the campaign Change Your Shoes, published by SÜDWIND and INKOTA. The organizations are calling on brand companies around the world not to continue to make profits at the expense of workers. A particular focus is on Europe.
