Recherchetool für Materialien The Modern Form of Slavery The film is based on the study ‘The modern form of slavery in Indian spinning mills’, conducted by FEMNET e.V. and CIVIDEP. He gives an insight into the labour and human rights violations in Indian spinning mills, to which the girls and women who are exposed to a system of modern slavery with the system of camp work are at the mercy. The film shows photos from the factories where the girls and women work, as well as from the shelters where they are held captive. The pictures are supplemented by interviews with former workers under the camp work system, which has so far been discussed under the heading ‘Sumangali’.
