Recherchetool für Materialien The Ecology of Sharing - Balancing the Environmental Impacts of Peer-to-Peer Sharing Is Sharing Consumer Goods Really Ecologically Beneficial? The Ecology of Sharing study reviews the environmental impact of peer-to-peer sharing for the clothing, car sharing and apartment sharing sectors. The study author Sabrina Ludmann used the data from user surveys of online platforms of the project practice partners Kleiderkreisel, Drivy, Flinc and Wimdu, which had been carried out in the project PeerSharing. She examined their current consumer behaviour and then determined the ecological impact of platform use. Based on these empirical data, internal information of the practice partners and literature data, a quantitative model was established for each practice partner, which reflects the consumption practices of the respective area.
