Puttaswamy from Bangalore. On our proposal she receives the 17th Solidarity Award of the Bremen State Chancellery. Rukmini leads the only women-led union GLU (Garment Labour Union) in India. She is a tireless fighter and has been campaigning for the rights of women garment workers with all her strength for many years. For FEMNET, Rukmini and her team are reliable project partners. Together we have already been able to achieve a lot and, for example, help in hundreds of cases of labor rights violations.
