For the decision-makers of tomorrow: Our educational work at universities

Those responsible for tomorrow are aware of their options for action and make use of them: this is our vision. We support university teaching and cooperate with student initiatives to ensure that sustainability becomes an integral part of higher education.

We aim to ensure that topics such as the rights of seamstresses in supplier companies, social and environmental standards in the value chain or corporate social responsibility are discussed at colleges and universities. Our educational offers address fashion-related and business studies as well as student initiatives and activists of all disciplines.

Since 2011, our range of topics and our network of professionally trained lecturers has been growing continuously. Our specially designed teaching modules for students form the core of our work. Lectures, visits by guests from the global south, conferences, projects with students plus student initiatives and more take place interdisciplinarily and throughout Germany.

Our goals

With our educational work at universities, we create an awareness among students and lecturers for the global correlations, environmental and human rights violations and the reasons for poverty of workers in the garment production industry.

This is what we want to achieve:

  1. As decision makers of tomorrow, today's students take responsibility for human and labor rights. They get to know their possibilities for action and learn how to use them.
  2. Students and teachers are familiar with the working conditions in production countries of the global South as well as social and ecological standards in the garment industry.
  3. Students commit themselves to a socially just clothing industry and are encouraged in their role as activists and social shapers.
  4. Corporate responsibility, human and labor rights become an integral part of university teaching.
