Supporting the Clean Clothes Campaign

Primark Opening CologneAs part of the Clean Clothes Campaign (CCC), FEMNET speaks up for social standards in the garment industry, especially for a living wage for the workers and the right of the seamstresses to form a union. Eminently, FEMNET fights against the discrimination of female workers.

FEMNET is in close contact with partners in Bangladesh and India, who make it possible for us to conduct research in the supplying firms that produce our clothing. This is how we stay informed about the unworthy working conditions in suppliers’ factories in Bangladesh and India, which produce for German companies.

Through urgent action and public relation activities, we put pressure on the companies, so that they take their responsibility seriously.

We also ask the German Government to create a legally binding framework for corporate accountability and liability.
